Statement of the Front of the Peoples of Iran on the Islamic Republic’s sham election
The Front of the Peoples of Iran calls a boycott of the election a human and moral duty, and asks Iranians to turn it into a national referendum by staying away from the polls.
Boycotting the election is a human and moral duty of our compatriots.
Forty-five years of the shameful rule of the Islamic rulers in Iran have brought this country nothing but killing, execution, torture, and hunger. In these forty-five years the people of Iran have seen nothing from this regime but oppression, torture, and hunger.
In forty-five years of the Islamic Republic’s rule, a free election has never been held in Iran in which people could freely choose the representatives they wanted. The regime has never allowed the people’s real representatives to stand as candidates. It has sent a number of its own filtered Revolutionary Guards and Basij members into a sham election, and with fear and empty promises it has been able to continue its shameful life.
The people of Iran should know that, so long as this bloodsucking regime exists, they will have neither calm nor comfort, and in the eyes of the international community Iran will be an outlaw and isolated regime. To prove to the international community that the regime has no legitimacy in the eyes of the people of Iran, we must, by saying no and by not going to the ballot boxes, turn it into a national referendum and take legitimacy away from these criminals.
The Front of the Peoples of Iran asks every layer of the Iranian nation to turn this election into a national referendum by boycotting it. By saying no to the Islamic Republic, the people of Iran can bring the Woman, Life, Freedom rising to fruition and bring down this alien group from power.
There is no doubt that the corrupt government of the guardianship of the jurist, and the Islamic Republic as a whole, has reached the end of the line. People know that the regime’s engineered elections, under various names and forms, are nothing new, and the people have moved past them.
Saying no to the Islamic Republic means no to execution, torture, killing, poverty, and hunger, and, more important than all of these, saying no to the Islamic Republic means no to terror and to the breeding of terrorists.
The Iranian nation can without doubt rescue the country from this international isolation and return it to the embrace of the international community. Iran and the peoples of this land deserve a high and respected place in that community, and this will not be gained unless the people will it.
The Front of the Peoples of Iran once more asks the peoples of the land of Iran not to go to the ballot boxes, and to take legitimacy away from this regime.
Long live Iran and the peoples of this land.
No to the Islamic Republic.
